  CITIES OF KERALA  


Kerala has fourteen districts that are spread across the length and breadth of the region. The districts are actually the major cities of Kerala. All the cities of Kerala have been lavishly blessed by Mother Nature and have immense tourist potential. The Cities of Tourist Attraction in Kerala includes Alappuzha - The Backwater Country, Ernakulam - The Commercial Capital, Pathanamthitta - The Great Pilgrimage Centre, Idukki - The Green Country, Thiruvananthapuram - The Capital of the State and Thrissur - The Cultural Capital of Kerala.

Alleppey: Alleppey or Alappuzha in the state of Kerala is the ultimate destination for a balmy backwater cruise. Alleppey Backwater Cruise will take you to the remote areas of Kerala and will offer you a glimpse of its culture & tradition.

Kochi: Kochi or Cochin on the western sea coast of India is the commercial hub of the state Kerala in south India. This land of unique culture is visited by millions throughout the year for its natural surroundings and pleasant climate.

 

Kottayam: Kottayam - the land of letters, legends, latex and lakes is a land of unique characteristics with the picturesquestretches of backwaters, green paddy fields, highlands & hills, rich rubber plantations and places of tourist attraction and a totally literate population.

     

Kovalam: Kovalam is one of the finest beaches on the western coastline of India. A favorite haunt of the tourist from all over, Kovalam's sun, sand, sea and the lovely spread of green palm trees make it a tropical paradise for the travellers in India.

 

Kannur: Kannur - the land of endless charm is one must visit destination for the travellers in India. Located far from the madding crowd of the city life, Kannur is the most enchanting district of northern Kerala.

     

Malappuram: Malappuram - the birthplace of the Malayalam literature and the headquater of the traditional Indian therapeutic system, is picture perfect city of Kerala with beaches, backwaters, hills & valleys, ancient pilgrimage centres and much more.

 

Palakkad: The land of Palmyras and Paddy fields, Palakkad is the chief granary of Kerala, often called the Gateway of Kerala. Lying at the foot of the gigantic Western ghats, Palakkad is a beautiful place with mountains, forests & fertile valleys, rivers and mountains streams.

     

Pathanamthitta: With endless stretches of forests, Pathanamthita is a hilly land of pctureque beauty. Located in the south Indian state of Kerala, Pathanamthita is rich in water fiestas, religious shrines and the cultural training centre.

  Periyar: Periyar is an example of nature's treasure with charming sites around, rich bio diversity, providing nature lovers a visual satisfaction.
     

Thrissur: Thrissur or Trichur, known to be the cultural capital of Kerala is built on an elevated land. A great place of antuquity, Thrissur has played a significant part in the political history of south India.

 

Thiruvananthapuram: Previously known as Trivandrum, Thiruvananthapuram is an age old city with tradition dating back to 1000 BC. Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of the state of Kerala is a beautiful coastal city at the west coast of India, built on seven hills.

     

Thekkady: Located in the picturesque Idukki, Thekkady is a treasured land iwth rich flora & fauna and is a perfect haunt for the nature and wildlife lovers.

 

Trivandrum: Trivandrum, the capital city of Kerala stretches along the shores of the Arabian sea for a distance of 78 kms. A fine blend of highlands, midlands, lowlands, Trivandrum is offers everything to its every single tourist.

     

Wayanad:  Wayanad is the green paradise, situated in an elevated picturesque hilly plateau in the Western Ghats of India. The hypnotising and peacefull land of Wayanad is rich in greenery and culture yet to be discovered.
